RICHLAND OPPORTUNITIES, INC. (ROI) operates as a non-profit, community based corporation and contracts with the Developmental Disabilities Program (DDP) of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) for services with the men and women who have developmental disabilities.  The role of the corporation is to provide evaluation, training, education, placement, and support services to individuals in Sidney, Richland County and Eastern Montana.

The agency was incorporated on July 1, 1979 with one group home housing eight men and women, and a work activity center providing a day service program.  ROI has grown to two group homes with a capacity to serve a total of 14, a transitional living complex with a capacity to serve 7, and a supported living home with the capacity to serve 5 . In addition, ROI currently serves multiple people in the community with support from ROI or family.  ROI also provides multiple vocational services such as supported employment, recycling, and a retail Thrift Store .
